Art+Tech Summer Camp
Camp Drop Off: 8:45-9am; Camp Pick Up: 3-3:15pm. Please drop off and collect students at City Hall.
Explore the possibilities of digital art making with the BNG Art+Tech Summer Camp! The Bermuda National Gallery’s signature programme returns for July and August with a focus on animation, digital painting and photo editing for children aged 11 to 14.
Campers will learn new technical skills whilst broadening the boundaries of their creativity. Students will produce a portfolio of digital artwork and to celebrate, will end each week with a sweet treat — be it a trip to Leslie’s Dessert Truck or Bermuda Bubble Tea!
Each camper will be assigned an iPad and Apple Pencil to work with. The Art+Tech programme is based between the Bermuda National Gallery and ONE offices.
Camp is $300 for BNG Members (Family Membership tier and higher), $375 for non-members. BNG is able to offer a reduced camp fee to those with financial need. Please select this option on the sign-up form below, or email at programming@bng.bm for more details.
Summer Modules
Digital Painting & Photo Editing: Campers will make art using procreate. From colour mixing, to shading, to playing with layers – campers will find their own unique style and approach to making digital art.
Beginner Animation: Campers will learn the principles of animation and complete some entry level animation tasks.
Intermediate Animation: Campers will learn how to add more details and work on storytelling through animation. Campers must be able to produce a high quality bouncing ball and walk cycle animation (tasks in Beginner Animation) to join Intermediate Animation.
