Explore the possibilities of digital art making with the BNG Art+Tech Summer Camp! The Bermuda National Gallery’s signature programme returns for July and August with a focus on animation, digital painting and photo bashing for children aged 11 to 14.
Campers will learn new technical skills whilst broadening the boundaries of their creativity. There will be field trips throughout the week to encourage inspiration, including a tour of the BNG Sculpture Park, a visit to see the Hamilton Princess’s art collection and the City Art Tour, which takes in Hamilton’s vibrant public art installations.
Students will produce a portfolio of digital artwork and to celebrate, will end each week with a sweet treat — be it a trip to Leslie’s Desert Truck or Bermuda Bubble Tea!
Each camper will be assigned an iPad and Apple Pencil to work with. The Art+Tech programme is based between the Bermuda National Gallery and BNG’s nearby satellite education space in Washington Mall.
Camp is $250 for BNG Family Members, and $325 for non-members. A BNG Family Membership is included in the fee for non-members, which includes invitations to exhibition previews and exclusive events, as well as priority access to all BNG education programmes.
BNG is able to offer a reduced camp fee to those with financial need. Please select this option on the sign-up form below, or contact Rehana Packwood at education@bng.bm for more details.
