My work continues to explore my long-term investigation into the afterlife of ocean plastic materials and invites close attention to the object itself: not as waste, but as witness. Atlanticum Orbem transforms a buoy from discarded maritime debris into an object of reverence. Rather than illustrating the environmental crisis directly, it invites close looking, proposing that endurance, transformation and trace are central to how we understand both people and the materials that surround them.
