This work is part of my Bermuda Map series, which I began in 2007 shortly before I left New York. The image represents Bermuda’s lines of longitude and latitude but omits the island’s landmass. The series was inspired by childhood memories of classroom world maps, where Bermuda was not identified. This is the final map in the series and it reflects the sense of exquisite remoteness that can be experienced while living on the island.
