This work reflects the collision between the island’s natural rhythm and the imported urgency of speed. On roads never meant for haste, moments meant to unfold slowly are compressed into irreversible outcomes. The pieceasks us to consider what is lost when ‘island time’ is abandoned—when acceleration replaces attentiveness, and life is reduced to seconds measured too late.
