My work is concerned with how people come to live inside systems and how those systems remain in place through language, habit and inherited structure. Coming from a background in literary prose, I am attentive to rhythm, tone and the energy that carries meaning beyond what is explicitly stated. In both writing and photography, I approach image and text as parallel forms of communication, each capable of conveying complex ideas in distinct but complementary ways.
