Meet Me at the Gate brings together different imagery and processes to explore time, memory and my connection to Bermuda. Each element is separated by medium, yet they sit together to form a composition that feels complete. The turquoise foliage at the top of the painting feels contemporary, representing Bermuda as I know it today. The smaller painting of my grandfather sits like a portal, marking the point where my Bermudian heritage began, and allowing the past and present to exist within the same space.
