My photography normally focuses on the vibrant beauty of Bermuda’s natural environment in a light, joyful viewpoint but over the last year, I have been increasingly interested in discussions on climate crisis issues like global heating and environmental tipping points. These photographs aim to both capture the brilliance of Bermuda’s coastal areas and imagine a landscape without conservation efforts. I want the stark contrast between today’s beautiful environment and its possible future to evoke a ‘need for urgency’ in the viewer, to encourage more interest in protecting the island’s natural environment.
