Seas of Europa was created for the 2010 Bermuda Biennial.
Graham Foster explains: “The concept behind this mobile came
about after seeing a documentary about possible life existing
beneath the ice-covered moon of Jupiter called Europa.
“This spark of an idea turned into a combination of the more
fantastical ‘squid people’ and more human, earth-bound fish
and figures.
“I also wanted to achieve a sense of movement, and an interacting
flow between the various elements suspended by transparent
fishing line as if floating in air.”
