Still Life a Tribute to Janet Fish was inspired by a visit to Janet Fish: Place in Time, held at Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art in late 2025. I liked the scale of her work, her complex compositions influenced by studying abstraction and her need to work from observation. I have included a cloth with a pattern, a lamp and a shell that Fish often painted. Most of the other objects have more masculine Bermudian connections, often to fishing, including a British Seagull outboard engine that was discovered buried in my yard.
