James Cooper is a Bermudian artist working primarily with photography. He has exhibited widely in the past decade. Notable highlights include The New York Photo Festival, The Toronto Photography Festival, The Jamaica Biennial, The Ghetto Biennale, Haiti; The National Gallery of Bahamas, Fondation Clement, Martinique; Brighton Photo Fringe, UK; Open Boat, Miami Art Week and the Atlantic World Art Fair, Artsy.

He says: ā€œIā€™m really not so interested in either perfection or specific meaning when it comes to my artwork. I am endeavoring to use my brain in a way that is instinctive, random, and loose. I feel that there is a possibility to connect with both myself and others in a way that is very expansive and enlightening when I essentially un-focus my thoughts.ā€
