Beginner Animation
On Saturday, August 9 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at Bermuda National Gallery, join animators Emma Astwood and Zen Marley Mello for a two-hour introductory lesson on creating animations using Procreate.
Emma and Zen are two of the 2025 Art+Tech Camp Counselors. Each bring a breadth of animating experience, and share that passion with the campers during Art+Tech. Animation requires combining art with physics to mimic movements. In this workshop for adults, participants will be guided to complete two introductory animation tasks; the bouncing ball and the walk cycle. They will discuss the 12 basic principles of animation and learn how to read time charts.
The cost of the workshop is $45 for BNG members and $60 for non-members. Each attendee will be given a BNG iPad and Apple Pencil during the workshop. Limited to 12 spaces, adults only.
