Learning with Art
Bermuda National Gallery education initiatives are designed to provide opportunities for creative and independent thinking through an exchange of ideas and art education. Students develop art appreciation, critical thinking skills and creative problem solving.
BNG endeavours to enrich the lives of all school children through free school tours, supplementary art classes, art camps and workshops, as well as at school presentations. For further information please contact education@bng.bm.
Enriching Lives
The Bermuda National Gallery offers a variety of education programmes in conjunction with current exhibitions for learners of all ages.
Join artist and educator Richard Sutton for a six-week evening class focusing on figure drawing using charcoal. Classes, which are held in the gallery after hours, will feature a live model.
Join artist Abi Box on May 6 for a hands-on workshop exploring the possibilities of monotype printing, to celebrate the close of her exhibition Identical Days, currently on display in the BNG Project Space.
Open to BNG members, BNG Urban Sketch meets on the first Saturday of each month from 11am – 1pm. Participants visit different locations around Hamilton to sketch from life and share creative community.
