Michael K. Frith Artist Talk

As CEO of The Jim Henson Company, Lisa Henson oversees all television and feature film production, from early development through post-production. She most recently produced Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio for Netflix and executive produced the feature film The Portable Door for MGM+, as well as the Emmy-winning Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock and Harriet the Spy, both for Apple TV+.

Lisa Henson and Michael K. Frith both served as presidents of The Harvard Lampoon.

Jennifer Barnhart is a multi-hyphenate performer who is primarily known for her work as a puppeteer. She is an Emmy-nominated performer on Sesame Street where she plays Zoe and Granny Bird, as well as the human role of Meredith (Charlie’s Mom). 

For Michael Frith and Kathryn Mullen, Barnhart performed character of mama lioness, Cleo, on  Between the Lions, and was a featured performer on their No Strings film projects.

In 1980 Kathryn Mullen became the third full-time female puppeteer at Jim Henson Productions. Mullen spent a decade at the company, during which time she performed various characters on The Muppet Show. When Fraggle Rock launched she took on the roles of Mokey Fraggle and Cotterpin Doozer. She assisted Frank Oz performing Yoda in Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and she performed Kira, the main female character, in Henson’s feature film The Dark Crystal (1982). Other key roles include the lead in Nickelodeon’s Allegra’s Window (1994) and Between the Lions Leona the lion cub.
