Puppet Party: A Puppeteer Social

Puppet required for entry, Spaces limited.
Students must be accompanied by an adult.
Join us at the Bermuda National Gallery for a Puppet Social! Bring a puppet, and join us for light refreshments and after-hours access to The Art of Michael K. Frith: From Pencil to Puppet.
You must have a puppet to enter this social – store bought or hand-made puppets are both welcome. This is an opportunity for both new and established puppeteers of all ages to meet and get tips from Henson puppeteer, Kathryn Mullen.
About Kathryn Mullen
In 1980 Mullen became the third full-time female puppeteer at Jim Henson Productions. Mullen spent a decade at the company, during which time she performed various characters on The Muppet Show. When Fraggle Rock launched she took on the roles of Mokey Fraggle and Cotterpin Doozer. She assisted Frank Oz performing Yoda in Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and she performed Kira, the main female character, in Henson’s feature film The Dark Crystal (1982). Other key roles include the lead in Nickelodeon’s Allegra’s Window (1994) and Between the Lions’ Leona the lion cub.
Doors open at 5:30, a short puppet demonstration will start at 6:00pm
This event will take place on multiple levels of the Gallery, requiring the use of stairs. If you have questions regarding access, please reach out ahead of this event.
