Lunchtime Yoga Series: Reboot. Refresh. Restart.
BNG brings you another series of Yoga in the Gallery with Tiffany Paynter. Tiffany, a two-time Bermuda Biennial artist, studied at the International Sivananda School and is a co-founder of the Peace Within Prison Yoga Programme. She recently launched SOHAM, a social enterprise dedicated to providing lifelong, practical mental health tools through yoga.
Classes run September 26 to October 31, every Monday from 1-2pm. Spaces are limited and must be booked in advance. Individual classes are $20 for BNG members and $25 for non-members.
The class is open to beginners. Alternative poses will be given for more advanced students. Please bring your own yoga mat.
Sometimes we realise we're going about our day to day lives on auto-pilot and going through the motions of life without joy or enthusiasm. It's easy to get into the habit of unconscious living, oblivious to the beauty and magic in our day, and finding more to lament than celebrate.
If we're lucky we realise something isn't working and choose to change it. Sometimes choosing to change looks like summoning all the will you have to roll out your yoga mat and make space for your own joy, peace and rest. Is it too much to ask for joy and peace to be our norm? Is it too much to want to wake up with a smile on your face each morning and rest at night with a peaceful heart and quiet mind?
I believe peace and joy are our birthright...our true starting place. I practice and teach yoga and meditation because yoga helps me to remember that life is not something to endure but rather something to celebrate and cherish.
I invite you to use our Monday yoga classes as an opportunity to reboot, refresh, and get back to the joy and peace of a life well lived. Come as you are and leave feeling better in mind, body and spirit.
