Thank you

2021 Annual Appeal

Dear BNG Family,

On behalf of the board of trustees and staff at the Bermuda National Gallery, I’d like to say THANK YOU for supporting our 2021 Annual Appeal campaign. Your donation helps to ensure that BNG can continue to create relevant and impactful exhibitions and arts & culture programming for the community.

We are off to an exciting start to 2022, with two new exhibitions currently being installed and over 100 applications received for the upcoming Bermuda Biennial.

We will be welcoming the jurors – Claire Gilman, Chief Curator at the Drawing Centre, New York, and Alexandria Smith, Head of Painting at the Royal College of Art, London – very soon and we look forward to introducing them to our vibrant community of artists here in Bermuda.

Our education department continues to provide artmaking opportunities for all ages – high school students can take part in our after-school animation programme, while adults can join an evening drawing class led by professional artists or drop in on our Saturday morning Urban Sketch sessions.

Your generosity helps to support every one of these initiatives, and we value your engagement with the Bermuda National Gallery. If you haven’t already given, it’s not too late. We will be accepting donations until the end of February. Please click the button below to donate.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

With thanks and best wishes,

Peter Lapsley, MFA
Executive Director

PS We appreciate that a financial donation is not always possible. Please show your support by advocating for the arts or consider volunteering at the Bermuda National Gallery. Contact Lara Hetzel, Volunteer and Operations Officer, at operations@bng.bm for more information.

A Year in Review

This past year, we have provided incredible opportunities for engagement with art, encouraging you to reflect on both the history and the future of our diverse community, to contemplate the beauty and complexity of our unique island and to experience our fascinating world through someone else’s lens.

Despite the challenges that 2021 brought, through our exhibitions and programmes, the year was also full of dynamic opportunity and we have created a magazine that captures the best of the Bermuda National Gallery’s 2021.

Members will have received a copy of the magazine in the post. Hard copies can also be picked up (free) from the gallery. Click the button below to read the digital iteration.
